AZELAIC ACID
Azelaic acid is a natural occurring dicarboxylic acid compound. It comes from cereals and has shown a very high activity in the acne treatment. The main reason of great importance of Azelaic acid in the oily and acneic skin treatment is due to the multiple and synergic action that this active does when applied on the skin. Detailed description of the main useful activities as follow:

1. Anti bacterical effect : several medical studies have demonstrated that the Azelaic acid has a strong bacteriostatic activity versus Staphylococcus epidermis and Propionibacterium acnes, the main responsible of skin infections and the developing of spots and pimples.

2. Calming effect: it has been also noted that beside the capability of reducing the bacterial population on the skin surface, the azelaic acid also reduces the inflammatory reaction always related to the acne conditions.

3. Keratolytic effect: is due to a decreased synthesis of protein that link together the keratine filaments in the epidermal layer (stratus corneum). This action by avoiding the obstruction of pores allows a freely flow out of sebum.

FLOWER BULB EXTRACT (Growth Factor-like green Activator)
EPIDERMAL- DERMAL CELL TO CELL COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
The components which are considered the main responsible of the biomechanical properties (firmness, elasticity) of the skin and consequently of its aspect are COLLAGEN AND ELASTIN. These proteins are produced in the dermis by cells called Fibroblasts (the major cells of the dermis), but dermal fibroblasts cannot be reached easily by topically applied skin care products. However, they are capable of sending and receiving messages from other skin cells using growth factors and cytokines as messengers.
