Collagen Regenerate Mask
The dermis which makes up the bulk of the skin consists mainly of a complex in association of a protein called Collagen, and Mucopolysaccharides. In the dermis, the collagen is present in the form of bundles of fibres which can be or not be transversally reticulated. The young skin contains a great deal of Collagen fibres which are noted transversally reticulated and which are highly hydrated and very elastic. The amount in the skin of the so-called soluble collagen which is not reticulated decreases with age while that of insoluble collagen, which is less elastic, much less hydrated and reticulated, increases with age. The increasing amount of insoluble collagen in the skin results in what is considered the ageing of the skin which become less taut, less moist, and less plump and, in some areas; ageing along lines that are flexed and which are known as wrinkles. In skin products, soluble collagen constitutes a natural physiological means to maintain the normal moisture of normal skin or to provide dry skin with missing moisture. Soluble collagen as already explained is much hydrated, which means it contains a great deal of water. This water cannot evaporate but it can interact with the other skin components. It has been demonstrated by means of appropriate instrumentation that the use of skincare products containing soluble collagen increases the skin moisture.
Precursor Complex
Based on the function fulfilled by Collagen and Mucopolysaccharides in the skin, MIRA B’LIA COSMETIQUES has formulated a treatment associating Collagen Regenerate Mask and Precursor Complex. The structure of this precursor allows its penetration through the cutaneous barrier in order to be absorbed by the skin and to be transformed by the enzymes present in the dermis into Mucopolysaccharides. The collagen sheet, applied on the skin and moistened with the “Precursor complex”, swells, hydrates and the hydrated collagen can thus interact with the skin components. The skin hydrates, regaining elasticity and firmness.
